For fishermen there is both deep-sea fishing (with charter service for fishing trips) in the open sea and sport fishing in the lagoon and on the Tagliamento, the river that runs east of Bibione, to take especially trout and carp, particularly loved by German guests: every year events and competitions are organized (remember the Palombo d'oro) which always involve many enthusiasts and supporters with their families.
Sea Sporting Fishing Portobaseleghe is an association born from passion for the sea and fishing. The members, well versed in the various fishing techniques, are there to help anyone who wants to take up this sport, and will give them advice on where, how and when to go fishing in the lagoon and in the sea opposite Bibione, up as far as Croatia.
The association organises different events including competitions and a free fishing course for children in August.
